German and International Physicists‘ tournaments
The German Physicists‘ Tournament (GPT) is a competition where students have to work on open physics problems. At the tournament, a team presents their approach that that then is criticized by another teams, and has to be defended in a discussion. The GPT is the national qualification competition for the International Physicists‘ Tournament (IPT) where teams from all over the world discuss the different approaches.
The GPT is supported by a network and one of the nodes is located in Erlangen, multiple of the GPTs took place in Erlangen or were organized from Erlangen.
