Before the end of last year Jonas Buba and Mishael Derla successfully finished their master theses.

Jonas Buba developed a classical density functional theory for active particles. With this method he studied the collision of hard active particles, which is important to understand the phenomena of motility induced phase separation.

Mishael Derla studied analytical models for random organization and jamming. These transitions probably are both in the universality class of conserved directed percolation thus they are closely related to each other. Mishael Derla tried different methods to descibe the transition and especially to estimate the transition densities.
